Aren’t modern diets exhausting?
Avoid this. Add that. Try this powder. Buy that bar. Follow this protocol.
No wonder everyone’s confused and stressed out by food.
I made the switch to a simpler diet a few years ago and I couldn’t be happier. Because I don’t believe nutrition has to be complicated. In fact, for most people, eating simpler is exactly what helps their body start working properly again.
That's not because simple eating is magic. It's because simple eating is easy to live with. And when you find the right habits, especially when it comes to food, they can transform your health.
Your Body Doesn’t Need Endless Novelty
For a long time we’ve been sold the idea that a healthy diet has to be varied, colourful and complicated. But our body simply doesn’t need novelty every day.
It needs protein, minerals, healthy fats, stable energy and, importantly, foods it can recognise and use.
An animal-based diet works for me and many others for that reason.
Meat, eggs, fish, dairy, and a little fruit. Simple whole foods that have supported human health for generations. Foods that provide bioavailable nutrition with minimal digestive complexity.
Consistency Builds Success
When meals are simple, satiating and easy to stick with, several things happen naturally:
Calorie intake regulates itself.
Blood sugar becomes more stable.
Cravings decrease.
Food obsession gets less invasive.
Digestion improves.
Adherence becomes easier.
Most importantly, body fat begins to normalise without constant willpower.
Simple Food Removes the Noise
The great thing about nutritional consistency is that your body responds to it.
With so many 'wellness' products, you can trick yourself into believing they are making a difference. But with a whole food diet and a consistent approach, you notice the changes.
And an added benefit is that repetition reduces decision fatigue, which is one of the biggest drivers of modern overeating.
Every highly varied food environment creates more opportunities for passive overconsumption. More snacks. More flavours. More options. More reasons to keep eating.
Simple eating removes all of that.
Simple Eating Is a Pathway Back to Health
Keeping your food simple, animal-based and consistent can make your health outcomes better. Over time, that translates into:
- Lower visceral fat
- Better insulin sensitivity
- Healthier metabolic function
- Improved resilience
- Better ageing outcomes.
But more importantly, it can make your life feel better too.
You feel content in a body that is well fed.
You're not confused or stressed about what to eat.
And that's what this is really about. Not restriction or perfection. Certainly not another complicated diet plan.
Just real food, repeated consistently.
For many people, that is enough to start feeling better.
Because the most powerful change is not adding more.
It's having to choose less.
